2. Something created by working jointly with another or others.
The idea for Collaborations Boutique came sometime around 2003. The concept for the store would be to create a combination of mostly new clothing, a few vintage pieces, repurposed jewelry and other retro cool items. I wanted the store to be a collaborative effort between our guests and our staff to build the perfect outfit, or find the perfect treasure. Thus inspiring the name Collaborations. I had just moved back to Stillwater, my hometown, when the perfect location became available. The use of old barn wood from a salvage yard to build the shelves and counter top, plus a few vintage pieces I refurbished from estate sales. I love mixing vintage pieces in with new. This combination created the look I wanted for the Boutique. It was as if it was meant to be, all the pieces just came together. Collaborations Boutique opened in May of 2006.
The Boutique has taken on a life of its own, I love working here! The costumers are wonderful. We've developed a great customer following and base. I've gotten to know a few quite well over the years. Our goal is to make our guests feel like they're at their friends closet picking out an outfit. We want to help you complete your vision. We work hard in our buying efforts to ensure that Collaborations offers a good variety of items at good price points. We strive to create a warm and welcoming environment. When our guests leave, we want them to feel as if they just worked with their own personal shopper who provided them with genuine honest feedback.
The biggest compliment we receive is that our customers “Love” to shop here and they tell all their friends about us! We love hearing that our customers get “tons” of compliments on their purchases from Collaborations boutique. I have truly enjoyed our years in business and the wonderful people I have met through the store. It has been a pleasure to assist each guests.
